When Stars Fall is a gay fantasy visual novel set in Veycral, a land where lost memories meet new beginnings.

You awaken in an unfamiliar field with no past to call your own, soon drawn to an academy where adventurers are forged and destinies take shape. Within its walls, laughter and rivalry intertwine, friendships blossom into something deeper, and every choice shapes the kind of person you’ll become. As days pass, you find comfort in new bonds and the warmth of belonging, yet questions linger in the quiet moments between.

Continuous updates: Although the game is still a work in progress, the developer is actively working on improving and expanding the game. As updates are released, players can expect to discover more content, including commissioned art assets such as backgrounds, additional characters, character poses, expressions, and CGs.

Changelog:

In this update, I decided to switch my focus to providing content for the first two days of the game already implemented since I received new character art assets since initial release. Originally I had planned to add the day 1 and 2 content as well as get content for day 3 and possibly 4 for every character and I realize now that that was A LOT for me to try to accomplish all at once. I still managed to get a bit of content for new days, but did not include them in this update, hence the 0.1.2 instead of a 0.2 release. There is still plenty of content that was added, it was just all in the earlier days and behind the scenes stuff.

Bug fixes

Fixed error where the game would crash when reaching the end of day 2

Added Qrom sprites to the PC and Mac versions

Added Aldric sprites and story line for days 1 and 2 for all versions

Currently you will only meet him if you follow a certain path for now. He will still appear later, I just didn't get that part added yet.

Added more story for Reth in day 2

Depending on your choices, you will have the chance to see all characters naked (if you're into that)

You won't be able to do this in a single play through yet though, you'll have to choose wisely

All majors are now selectable

Added temporary back and skip buttons to quick menu

They'll be prettier later

Fixed spelling and grammar errors (still have a lot on my to-do list)

Added a music gallery

Added the option to turn side images on/off in the preferences menu

I was not able to figure out how to toggle different speech bubbles for when side images are off

There are probably more things that were updated that I forgot because it's almost 2:00 am. I may edit the post later if I think of anything or I may leave it as a surprise for you to find. Who knows.

Player Comments of When Stars Fall:

This is genuinely my favorite on the entire site. The WWE corniness may not be for everyone, but for me its great. The characters are actual characters, like you the MC aren't their entire world and they'll work to achieve thier goals, sometimes helping yours, sometimes not. They won't always believe everything you say, and make decisions independent of you if they think there's good reason to. Again, for some its a turn off, but there's only so many "overpowered self-insert MC who all girls immediately start ass kissing as their newfound deity" stories I can read before it becomes stale. Throw that in with a decent revenge story with a good twist or two its exactly what i like.The negatives however, are glaring. The minor gripe is the MC and his best friend are supposed to be adult heavyweight-wrestlers, but they have anime teenage boy faces, so they remind me of kids in muscle suits when you see them shirtless, but you don't see them much. The first big gripe is after the initial prologue, the MC is kinda just... there. He gathers the team, but doesn't DO anything. You could very easily write him out. The second is development. The main story hasn't moved for like a year and a half. The dev has exclusively worked on side content during that time. And not even side content with the main girls, but with new side characters that you'll see at most one-or-two more times, if that. And the dev has been slowing down to the point this has received the "abandoned" tag, and will probably receive it again. They claim to be committed to finishing it, but working exclusively on side content since mid-2024 makes me think we'll get GTA 9 before this is finished even if they're genuine.

Being a huge WWF/WWE fan, it is a pleasure to see a game based on professional wrestling. Getting to know the different characters and watch them go at it in the ring is fantastic. The build up to the adult scenes is decent The story is passable. Keep up the good work.

Great game,great story,great concept.The only slightly negative thing about the game is the renders that might look less appealing compared to some other koikatsu games.But even still the game doesn't look bad at all,and even adding new characters every update the design are still pretty unique from each other.Even if the game have a big focus on wrestling you don't really don't need to understand a lot about to understand the story.
