Next, you need to move to the Building Station. It's not easy to craft a weapon. You have to go through different processes. Start by selecting an ore, and then a mold. Then, melt it, pour the metal into the mold, form them, cool them down, and add details.

Each weapon has two major stats: power and durability. Better metals will make weapons with more power and durability.

Besides, each step requires you to pay attention to timing and placing. The better you do each step, the higher the quality of the weapon. 

There is a shop in the game. You can access the shop to buy different types of weapons like swords, arrows, shields, and more.

A slight shame that it's JUST a direct port of the original game, but it's an amazing game already, so I don't think it necessarily NEEDS any new content. Like another Review said, though, it would be kind of interesting if there was modding support. The Papa Louie games are effectively endless, but with Jacksmith being more of a campaign-based experience, once you've played the game once, you have no reason to play it again. I don't know if Flipline is going to read this review, but if you guys do, PLEASE consider making this game moddable, or, hey, updating it with some new content every once in a while.

Man, where do I even start with Jacksmith...It was one of those flash games you'd sneak in on the school computers instead of doing actual work. You played as this donkey blacksmith, making weapons like swords and bows for your little squad of fighters. (Pretty sure I never got past making axes when I was a kid.) You don’t actually go into battle—you just build the gear that helps everyone else win. It was super fun, creative, and honestly kinda addicting.And now it’s back—with a remake on Steam! (Finally!) The new version still feels like the old one but looks way better and runs smoother. Crafting stuff is still super satisfying, the characters are still great, and it totally brings back those browser game memories.Whether you played it back in the day or you're just checking it out now, Jacksmith still holds up.Rating: 10/10 – Just a fun, chill game that’s still awesome after all these years.Also, still waiting on Papa’s Pancakeria to come back... that’s where the real fun was.

I rediscovered this gem on YouTube the other day. A video popped up for it and I went "Impossible." The video was uploaded 2 days prior. There's no way it was recorded before flash shut down.For grins and giggles, I typed Jacksmith into Steam. Lo and behold, the classic flash game from my childhood was on the Steam Store for 6 bucks. I can say that the game has held up for all these years. It's enough to make a grown man cry.

If you are a fan of cooking games that involve creating dishes and serving them out to customers, then you will likely be a fan of Jacksmith. There really isn’t much of a difference between forging bows and baking up hot and tasty pizzas. Even if blacksmithing isn’t really your thing, you should definitely give Jacksmith a try.
