Princess Tale is a fun role-playing game where players adventure and battle alongside unique princesses. Players choose suitable princesses to form teams and fight against various enemies. Players can freely switch between auto-battle and real-time control, earning rich rewards while saving time. Players can continuously strengthen their princesses' combat power by changing their battle positions, upgrading skills and equipment, and triggering synergy effects. They can then participate in the arena and compete against players from around the world. The game offers players abundant benefits; daily logins reward players with tons of gems and new characters, with more rewarding events constantly being launched to make the game journey even easier.
Once you’ve completed the Princess Tale tutorial, you’ll be on to the real battles. You will choose the characters into different positions in the squad, and the maximum number of characters you can control is five. In addition, you will need to choose the positions that suit each character’s characteristics carefully; once the battle has started, you won’t have too much of an impact associated with changing the team’s position.
The battle begins, and the characters you allow into the battle move towards the enemy. Movement distance depends on the type of attack of the characters and the resistance from the enemy. Then you don’t need to control five characters simultaneously because they will automatically move and attack the enemy until the outcome of the match is decided. The battle only ends when one side is completely destroyed, so strength always determines the result.
The player’s portrait can be clearly seen, the character’s health and mana bars can be increased, and basic attacks can boost the mana. When it is full, the character’s portrait will become fully featured, and you can touch it. That will activate a character’s ultimate skill, such as attacking enemies, supporting teammates, and arranging characters together will help the team stay alive longer.

There are currently 41 characters to collect in Princess Tale and while their grades only start off at B for normal heroes and A for elite heroes, the former can be upgraded to S+ while the latter can be upgraded all the way to grade SSS. Naturally, elite characters are more difficult to pull from the gacha, and while there are other means of obtaining new characters, the Tavern is your primary source to recruit them.
If you are a total beginner in strategy RPGs or the gacha method of acquiring characters, you have to understand the concept of rerolling and how it can give you an advantage early on. As the gacha method is entirely based on the luck of draw, it has become common practice for RPG enthusiasts to employ the rerolling approach to ensure the best first draw or draws as much as possible.
As Princess Tale will start you off with a trio of normal characters, getting your hands on a couple or more elite types can benefit you not just in the early game, but from mid all the way to the end game as well. There is a matter of choosing from among your heroes which ones to invest in as it can be expected that your resources will never suffice to upgrade each and every one of them.
Although there are means of resetting units and take back everything you invested in them, it costs star, which is a premium currency you would rather spend on a whole lot of other things. As such, going through the initial pulls again and again is a viable option to ensure that you will start with some of the better heroes on your roster and main team.
To initiate a reroll, it is important that you initially play on a guest account. This means that you will not link your game progression to either your Google or Facebook account first. Once you have progressed through the tutorial and are free to venture on your own, you should collect event rewards and developer gifts from the mail.
Relative to this, be sure to claim some coupon code rewards as well for more stars. To do so, click on your avatar at the upper left side of the screen. Tap on the System tab at the bottom left of the page, and finally the coupon button. Input “MARKETNO1PT” and “PTGRANDOPEN” to earn various items. There are other coupon codes released but some of them have already expired at the time of this writing. Be sure to visit your mail afterwards to claim the rewards.
A pull from the tavern, which you can access via the base camp, costs 300 stars while a 10x pull only costs 2,700 stars. Naturally, the best way to go is to have enough for the latter. If all earned stars at this point do not leave you with enough to do a 10x pull twice, you can easily earn more by playing for a bit and unlock mission rewards.
In any case, a single 10x pull for a reroll can go a long way. We have managed to pull 2 elite heroes form 1 10x pull and are yet uncertain whether obtaining 3 elites is possible. For now, our top picks are Kate, Sana, Charlotte, and Salt.
If you do your first 10x pull and manage to nab 2 of the above heroes, or at least 2 others that you like, then you continue moving forward and link your game progress with either your Google or Facebook account. Otherwise, you should opt out of the game, clear the app data on your android device and start over. For iOS users, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the game if you decide to go for a reroll.

The game is good in general. However, one strange thing is that you can make very decent progress in the beginning if you spend some money, but after several months I found spending money won't help anymore as the rewards are not enough for you to make any progress and I got stuck at one stage for almost one month. Some materials such as the ones for advancing normal and exclusive equipment can only be obtained through normal event, which stops me from further recharging.
UI is clean and easy to read, gameplay is simple yet addictive and super f2p friendly. My only complaint is that you don't get your items worth from spending IRL money. Even after cutting the price in half, almost everything is still considered expensive. I don't really suggest spending money, but if you ever decide to, I suggest the Growth package (51,300 gems) and Monthly Premium pass (18980 gems) as they're probably the most value out of everything. Other than that, it's an amazing game.
This game is brilliant! Super generous, fun, easy to to play, and very cute art. Summoning doesn't revolve around a spark system and rates are great. When you balance these things, I feel a lot better about dropping a few bucks or play credits, rather than other games these days that dangle the carrot and stress you in to it. Thank you to the team behind this chill and lovely little game.
No problems faced for now, a pretty interesting and solid game that keeps you entertained. Gacha rates are fair, since you would be able to obtain tons of 'elite' characters without actually paying money. Characters are cute and well designed. Really generous afk rewards and great events for starters. Maybe reducing the amount of stages? Because stages are greatly increasing for each chapter completed which makes it really grindy. Consider giving it a shot, no regrets. See you at the flip side!

Princess Tale is the latest idle RPG from the South Korean gaming company Gamepub. The game is a fresh take on the genre amidst the excessive number of incremental RPGs online. Its cast of super cute, all-female heroines, along with rich mechanics allows for nearly infinite variations in strategy. As for the presentation, the developers put in a lot of effort to make the game stand out from the rest. One example is the facial expressions of characters that show during active battles. This makes the characters more connected to the player.
