Ocean Is Home is an open-world survival simulation game where players embark on an adventure on a deserted island. Explore and gather resources to build your shelter, crafting essential survival tools and weapons. Players can freely choose their exploration path, encountering hidden treasures or dangerous wildlife, adding to the game's appeal. As your shelter develops, you can use different materials to create more complex devices, including various firearms and electrical systems, providing a higher quality of life on the deserted island.
Stranded life and survival focus: The core of Ocean Is Home centers on living off the land. You wander a large island, search for food, and scavenge natural resources to keep your character alive. Survival is not just about picking things up from the ground. You gradually move from basic scavenging to more structured living, including farming, hunting, and using crafted tools.Freedom is a major selling point. The island is open, so you are not tightly directed along a story path. You decide where to go, what to build, and how to develop your character. That flexibility makes the game feel like a sandbox, where your personal goals and playstyle matter more than scripted missions.
Building, crafting, and character growth: Construction and crafting sit at the heart of the experience. You can put together your own house, then expand it as you collect more materials. From the start, wood and stone are key resources, and they gradually turn into walls, workbenches, tools, and more complex structures. The crafting system covers more than just shelter. You can create weapons to hunt animals, tools for fishing, and equipment that helps with water collection and electricity. This variety gives you several paths to becoming more self-sufficient, whether you prefer raising food, hunting, or relying on technology. An advanced skill system governs your character’s growth. As you progress, your survivor becomes more capable, opening new possibilities and areas. However, some elements of progression are not clearly explained. For example, access to bunkers is tied to advancement in some way, yet the game does not clearly state what you need to do to open them, which can leave players guessing even at fairly high levels. There is also room for the crafting side to grow. The current setup lets you create a lot of gear, but there is no clear way to trade or sell what you produce. Players who enjoy in-game economies may feel that their crafted items do not have as much purpose as they could beyond direct survival.
Exploration, world design, and atmosphere: The island itself is large and open, and you are free to roam it using different kinds of transport. Vehicles that use fuel help you cover long distances and reach places like an airport or other islands, which gives the world some sense of scale. That said, exploration has some limitations that affect immersion. The game currently uses a visible boundary for draw distance, which can break the illusion of a continuous world. Suggestions such as using atmospheric fog instead of a hard edge highlight how a softer visual limit could help the landscape feel more natural.Players also express a desire for more environmental variety. While the existing island offers plenty of space, many would like richer terrain: more distinct biomes, caves to explore, and water features such as rivers or ponds, along with additional man-made structures. More diverse non-player characters are another frequently requested improvement. Right now, encounters and locations can start to feel familiar, and a broader range of NPC types and settlements could strengthen the sense of a living island.

If you're confused between amongst of our guide, this is a Quick tips, that epitomizes all at once.

Plus you can craft firearms for hunting And you can craft a boat and go to other islands and get more to loot abandoned building and stuff. Just be aware of the wood you collect. it's like a key to survival in the game, you use it for just about everything from crafting structures, furniture, tools and weapons, ext.
I play both Ocean is Home, but this one was the first one I played many years ago, some things changed and I loved it! I just suggest that tasks could be increased instead of only 12, it could be anything randomly everytime to earn one thing or another randomly too. (Pls devs, think abt it!) This game is so peaceful but can be scary as well if you want it, and you don't see any ad which is wonderful! The control and graphics are great and the loading time is also fast! Keep it up!
it would be better to add wildlife and more zombies that roam around the place. Also add some shields and add fist(Incase if the weapons fails and you needed it to get enemies killed) or add exchange system where I traded 10O silver coin for 1 gold coin. Also improve the maps to add roads. Also increase the storage capacity by 200% for effeciency and also diversify melee weapons like adding war-axes also add some unique weapons like flamethrowers. also add new Zombie variants for fun.
Very fun, it's like minecraft but more realistic and there's a lot more things you can do, I 100% recommend this game to someone that likes survival games, adventure and challenges. The graphics are 10 out of 10 for me, very smooth and colorful, also the detail in this game is AMAZING! it makes it where you feel like your living inside the game, also WARNING this game is VERY ADDICTIVE! if you want to just play for like 10 minutes your not going to, I play this game for hours and hours like 12am.

How to get your car back?
If you have lost your car in the water or in some other way you can respawn it be visiting a garage. On Farmers Island use the garage southwest of the spawn point. If you are on Hornet Island to to the southeast corner, there is a military compound with the garage outside.
How do I build a dock in the water?
You need to start with a foundation on the shore / sand. Then extend this with foundations / floors out into the water.
How do you refuel the boat?
You need to approach the boat and look at the raised square at the front or rear of the boat then press the hand button ( if it doesn't work try getting closer). If you auto travel to an island the fuel will be automatically taken fro your inventory as needed anyway.
Where can i find loot?
There are two villages on the northwest corner of Hornet Island.
Ocean Is Home continues to offer an immersive open-world survival experience where players find themselves stranded on a vast desert island with the freedom to explore, craft, and build from the ground up. The game’s strength lies in its detailed crafting system and wide variety of survival mechanics, including hunting, farming, fishing, and base building. Players start by gathering basic resources like wood and stone, essential for crafting tools, weapons, and constructing shelters.
