Come Home is a fun dating simulation game where players return to their hometown to uncover the truth behind their father's disappearance while navigating relationships with the locals. You'll reunite with former friends and family, and have access to over 20 romanceable characters. Players must plan their daily schedules—whether it's going to school, work, or going on dates with different women—and the story will unfold differently depending on your choices. As the game progresses, you'll learn about the girls' stories and secrets, gradually unlocking intimate animations with them. Ultimately, will you be able to uncover the truth behind your father's disappearance and find your true love?

Gameplay of Come Home:

You are able to specify what Lisa and Suzy call you. Lisa is your step mother and Suzy is your step sister. The day is broken into four parts Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. Monday through Friday your Afternoon is taken up by School and Work. Night you are pretty much limited to doing things in your room for the most part.

The basic idea is to earn affection with each of the characters to advance their story. All of the characters are okay with you dating other people, at least as far as the story is now. There are 20 different characters for you to romance. Only two at this time do not have a sex scene. There is one male character you can romance and one trans-female (Futa), the rest are all women. You can decide if you want a romantic interaction with any of the characters, so if you are uncomfortable with some aspect of the character you do not have to have a romantic

Changelog:

First, let's talk about Come Home. The story is finished, but there's still some things that I want to do.

The Free Edition is done. Aside from some bug-fixes, I don't currently plan on adding anything else to it. This is due to the struggle of trying to keep the two file sets separate and updated. It's too much, and it slows me down considerably. I've delivered on my promise of giving the audience the entire story, beginning to end, for free. All the other things I add, including translations, I plan on being part of the Premium Edition only.

I had planned on doing a final Premium-only update with a lot of bonus content, but I've decided to actually split that into multiple updates. Right now, I'm planning on five small updates released every other month, with the first one coming out next week. I'm calling these The Complete Edition updates.

So what's in them?

Well here's what's in the first Complete Edition update that will come out next week:

Changed Brandichat from images to screens.

Changed Polaroid menus to be built in-game instead of pre-made images.

Made Suzy and Lisa's relationship words more specific: you now specify what the relationship is and how you refer to them as separate things.

Changed some phone menus to image menus.

Added sex menus to some characters repeatable sex screens.

Added four new scenes based off Patreon/Subscribestar polls:

With this small update, I plan on taking the game out of Early Access.

Let's talk about translations for a bit. I've been promising for a long time that I'm going to get translations done after the game is finished. This is my initial test for that. The game has around 750,000 words of text in it that have to be translated. This is far too much for me to pay somebody to do it. It's just too expensive. Which means I have to do machine translations. It's not going to be perfect, by any means.

I've had a lot of people over the years offer to help me with translations, which is amazing, but it's not as easy as just sending a script and letting people translate it. I have to do it in a way that I can extract the dialogue into a shared sheet and then be able to import it back into the game. It's honestly way more complicated than I was expecting. I'm going to do my best with it though. With this first update, I'm adding Chinese (because it's the most asked for language) and Spanish (because it's a language that I have a basic understanding of and can test with). These are by no means the only languages I plan to add, but this is to test how the extraction and importing works and to test how I can crowdsource the fans to help fix translations.

The other four Complete Edition updates will each contain four more scenes each, voted on by patrons, along with more UI improvements and further translations, assuming that all works out well. The plan currently is to come out with an update every other month (April, June, August, October, December). These will not have early beta releases and will just drop onto Premium and Patreon at the same day.

After these five releases are done, I plan to move on from Come Home.

At first glance it looks like a pretty standard sandbox AVN, but it quickly turns into something way bigger in terms of content and variety. The amount of girls is honestly huge, and while that could’ve been overwhelming, the game does a decent job letting you focus on the characters you actually like instead of forcing everything on you.

What stands out the most is the character variety. Different personalities, backgrounds, and storylines make the cast feel diverse enough that you can always find someone you’re interested in. Some routes are definitely stronger than others, but the better ones are genuinely enjoyable and memorable.

The sandbox structure works well overall. There’s a good amount of freedom in how you progress relationships, and the game doesn’t feel overly grindy, which is a big plus. At the same time, some parts can feel a bit repetitive, especially when certain interactions or questions start repeating across different characters.

Story-wise, the main plot isn’t really the focus here, and that’s probably for the best. The game shines more in individual character arcs and smaller moments rather than its central narrative. That said, some later parts of the game do try to switch things up, which helps keep it interesting.

Visually, the game definitely shows its age. It’s not bad, but compared to newer AVNs it’s clearly behind. Still, the renders are consistent enough, and the character designs help make up for it.

In terms of content, there’s a lot here. Multiple routes, scenes, and outcomes give the game good replay value, especially if you want to see different characters or endings. The gallery and unlock system are also a nice touch.

Overall, it’s not a perfect game, but it’s a very content-rich and enjoyable one. If you don’t mind older visuals and a large cast with some uneven writing, there’s a lot to like here.

Like in most NSFW visual novels you click on stuff, read dialogue, make decisions over random choices and obviously you watch slideshows of your character having sex with other characters.This game has a schedule system that lets you follow the NPC that you want to date and decide when is the right moment to interact with them. With the amount of characters that this game offers it’s a clever idea and I like that this game has no time limit so you can take as much time as you want to date all the NPCs that you like.

It’s fine. The backgrounds are simple and kind of bland but serviceable. All the character models look great; I will give the devs my approval for not making their models have uncanny faces.The NSFW bits are slideshows of you character having sex with the NPC that you selected and that is all, since this is a free game that is enough for me.

Does it have a good story?

It’s fine… I like the characters though, I dated a couple and I kind of like them… and this is rare for me on NSFW visual novels… I have to admit that sometimes the characters become too cliché, but they are charming.

Does it have a good soundtrack?

It’s fine. Not particularly good, but neither particularly annoying.

Since you can decide in what order you want to progress the story and side stories for the NPCs it has plenty of replay value, plus all the NPCs have fun dialogue.
