Characters:

Layla: A science wiz with a big brain but little tact for flirtation. Once your neighbor in Canada, you move in with her to test a device that may or may not fix your knee.

Gemma: This girl may look like a queen, but she is as sporty as they come. Her battle with OCD doesn't keep her from living life to the fullest, and she likes to be out on the water.

Rylee: Shy. Reserved. Absolutely crazy. This cute little redhead is going to give your heart fits, what with her adorable puppy-dog eyes while spouting wild conspiracy theories.

Chrysta: One rich bitch. Her family practically owns the island, and she flaunts her power as much as her tits. She's going to give you a helluva lot of attitude, but maybe...

Changelog:

The new patch for Matrix Hearts is in the ocean! This begins the animation refresh for the game, which includes increasing the quality and framerate of the animations starting in Chapter 3. There is a new animator coming with even more incredible skills, so we are going to be moving to better animations. I work on everything in this game aside from crazy programming like the gallery or the animations. I render them, but another otter goes in and uses my graphics to make the animation.

You can find a new animation with Layla once you come home from the arcade. I am going to keep rolling out these new animations over the next month, so if you have an update for the game, that's why! Anyway, there are quite a few updates for this patch.

+Layla's, Gemma's, and Xia's routes have now been fixed with the correct number of Hearts

+All achievements are now achievable (Steam version of the game)

+Fixed a few variable triggers on the routes to ensure they won't cause any issues playing

+A few grammatical fixes

+Added the Chapter 3 music to the Otter Tunes

+You can now name your bird if you chose to be its master! You name it when you are with Rylee in Chapter 3

I had also planned to add Steam trading cards to this update, but Steam wants Trading Cards, Emoticons, and Backgrounds all completed before it is going to launch and the game needs Emoticons and more Backgrounds. I am working on those now!

The next update is a Major Update! It is going to be the in-game phone integration which you can play through in all chapters. You can text, browse the ZippyApp, and more! That is coming later next month-ish.

There is plenty more ocean coming, and it's going to be otterly-awesome. I hope you enjoy playing Matrix Hearts!

I was drawn into the storyline of the game… pro athlete that injures himself that spirals into depression (and basically being an ass hole) only to be offered a chance at normalcy again – sounds great! I did enjoy some of the dialogue and the way the MC responds to things is great. Unfortunately, I feel that the game is being let down by it’s choice of LI’s and the interactions the MC has with them. This is only a review at 0.2.1 and I will give future releases a try but despite the potential I felt when I first read the summary I found the game itself to be fairly average as of this release… great if you’ve got nothing else on your list but as there are so many great NSFW game developers out there it’s not one I’m going to rush back to.

This is one of the games I was recommended to play after only playing the select adult games you can play on Steam and I guess I started at a good time because it was right when the game updated. I’m going to admit now I am not a expert with these games and can only base them what I have played so far and that the review under mine had me really worried. But after playing the game now in full I am pleasantly surprised and can only theorize that this games humour isn’t for everyone. I can only compare it to Workaholics if you have ever seen that show. The writing can get kinda bonkers but it’s really funny for the most the show. Although I don’t like the fourth wall breaking but in the update they only had like one of them so it was perfectly OK.

Next in terms of the pacing I don’t know what the problem is. The pacing felt perfectly good to me. It felt like it was going one scene to the next like you are just living in the shoes of this one dude and it feels more natural compared to other games I have played. Again I can’t compare it to many only about fifteen or so. What gets me are the women! Great visuals and I feel like every woman is unique in some way. It feels like Gemma changed a lot though from the first chapter but I like her much better in the second. She became my favorite until the boat scene with Stormy.

Final words:

Matrix Hearts is a visual novel with explicit filling in scenes and events, a full-fledged storyline, mechanics of making choices and a very good level of render quality. The main character will be a young man who is fond of rock climbing and even demonstrated impressive results in professional competitions. But tragedy and injury destroyed the planned future overnight. And it is unknown how his story would have ended if he had not received a very tempting offer. Consent gives him a chance to return to his former strength and abilities, and it is also possible to receive something more.
