I like the app. It's pretty easy to list items and I like being able to find things I'm looking tobuy not easily found other places. However the added buyer fees are ridiculous! Assomeone who sells and buys I would rather have the selling fees then placing thatresponsibility on the buyer. The buyer looks at the cost of item and by the time theycheck out and shipping, service fee, processing fee, and tax has been added that $10item is now $20. Or even worse. It's hurting sales. People are looking elsewhere to spendtheir money and it's forcing sellers to greatly reduce the price of their items. You shouldremove the buyer fees and go back to the old selling fees. My only other issue is the lackof repercussions for anyone on the app. There are lots of people with ridiculously highcancelation rates. I've personally dealt with people who repeatedly "sell" items they don'thave and then cancel the order on the last day they have available to ship it, then relist.They do this over and over again. I'm not sure the end game other then maybe making itlook like their sale numbers are higher then they actually are. Nothing is done other thena warning way down the page once the person hits a 50% cancelation rate. I notice theyusually use sought after new and popular items to do this with. Also happening are alotof stock or stolen photos and listings for items they've ordered but aren't in theirpossession.

I mainly buy andresell clothing but some electronics too since I manage a phone store. When you sellsomething please be aware that you do not receive payment until the item is received bythe buyer and they have inspected and given you a rating. After you receive a rating youthen rate the buyer as well. The ratings are kind of nice but once in awhile you will runinto a buyer who is just an a hole and gives you a 1 star because it took you an extra dayto ship the item. (Yes it's happened to me a couple times.) I blocked them and refuse tosell to them again. When buying stuff please look at the other persons profile. Read thereviews they have been given and how many listings they have. You can also see whenthe last time they posted an item was to determine if they are still active. If the buyerdoesn't rate you within a couple days then mercari team will automatically give you a 5star with no comment. When selling please make sure to take good quality photos. Andplease make a detailed description of the item. Trust me, you don't want the itemshowing up different than you described it.Overall this is the best app I have used to selland buy items. The only thing I wish they would improve is maybe a live agent to talk toinstead of waiting days for an email about your issues.

What to do if you believe your account has been compromised?

What payment methods does Mercari accept?
