Reviews:

i finished every ending and i really didn't expect this game to turn like this, and it seems like it was fate i found this game its april the first today!! lol overall i really loved the game the art style is so unique and pretty i literlly just stared at the art for a few minutes i really love it the small ditails on th UI was so well done how many times do you get to see that in a game hm? i didn't expect to actually hesitate so much to pick who to eliminate because usually i really dont hesitate this much it was just so hard to chose i loved them all!!

I actually loved this game. I didn’t know what to expect when downloading it, but i know it wasnt what i got. The witch is crazy! Yet super sweet in her own way… i relate personally to a lot of her struggles with feelings. My favorites were Blatella, Doug, and Julian. So their the only charactera whose endings I got. Julians ending was to be expected, even though I secretly wished hed get sweet on us LOL. His staring contest with Buzz Bee killed me too… but it was worth it.Blatella is such a cutie I just cant. He’s obviously a bit tsundere but I really think his connection with MC was the best. They both have a lot to relate to. I can picture them just holding hands and bickering like an old married couple XD!And Doug… oh man, his ending broke my heart. At first he didnt peak my interest in total honesty, but the longer i played i realized hes a lot like myself. And the way he accepts MC for who she is, and all her tomfoolery。I will be playing this again to get the other boys endings! So Frank, Bogart and Buzz Bee better watch out.

This game looks amazing and I love the art style!! Although (and I'm assuming this is only on the android version because I see no other mentions of it in the comments) there's an issue with the text box. The text that's supposed to be in the text box is above it, making it pretty unreadable. I'm making it work because I really wanna play the game but as someone who is already sight impaired it's kinda hard :((( by no means am I complaining, I just hope I can bring this to your attention.

FAQs:

Where did this idea come from? It feels like it became deeper over time.

DemonBear: “When we were thinking about making Subject: LOVE, we weren’t thinking too deeply about the story or what message we wanted to deliver. It was supposed to be just a April Fools game, it was supposed to be just fun. But as we entered this specifics, we started to realize that there was something deeper that we could do.”

“And the funny thing about it is, Alex is ace. So she doesn’t understand some things about love and how people have relationships. So when we started work with Rosalyn, she started to see herself in her and we decided that we could do something a lot more important than we had planned at first.”

What’s Rosalyn like to write? Her antics are quite entertaining.

DemonBear: “She’s our little gremlin, we go around saying. People really adopted her like that. She’s completely out of her mind, and she does what she needs to do to get what she wants. Even if she has to commit a few crimes along the way. She has no regret. Yeah, just a few.”

And then there are the six boys, each completely unhinged in their own way. Tell us more about them.

DemonBear: “Of course! In Subject: LOVE, we have 6 love interests. So we start with Blatella. He’s a sharp-tongued, no-nonsense journalist. He likes things to be clear and very close to Earth. He really doesn’t care about love, and he doesn’t care how people see him. He’s just there for the truth.”

“We have Bogart. He’s a dancer and the most beautiful man in the little village, and he knows that, so if you like confident narcissistic guys who are there for drama? Bogart is really the right one.”

“We also have the sweet guys like Frank, he’s soft-hearted, always there to help everyone.”

“And we have Doug, who is quiet, but he’s also very sweet in his own way. Though he doesn’t show up too much, you know.”

“Buzz-Bee is an airhead and he’s always trying to bring cheerful things to the conversation, but somehow he’s hiding something behind it all.”

“And we have Julian, who is the favorite one, a ghost who can’t speak properly but he’s always around there following Rosalyn.”

So let’s talk about the visuals. So, Subject: LOVE has a retro, almost flash game aesthetic that makes it feel like something from our childhood a little bit.

DemonBear: “Our art style follows what the game wants to show, what the theme is. So with Subject: LOVE, the goal was to create something out of the box. We have a chaotic MC forcing people to fall in love with her, but the story is told in a comedy way, because we didn’t want people to feel like it was bad or uncomfortable. So with this comedy we had to be playful with the arts too, so people could have fun while playing it. But yeah, most of alex inspirations were some flash games from our times when we were kids, so it has a big influence.”

Final Verdict:

In a genre overflowing with saccharine romance and picture-perfect fairytales, Subject: LOVE - HEA APK stands out. This visual novel blends heartfelt storytelling, chaos-fueled magic, and a lovable cast of characters into one unforgettable adventure. At its core lies Rosalyn, a headstrong witch whose desire for a happily ever after spirals hilariously out of control when her love potion backfires - transforming her romantic prospects into odd little creatures instead. From this quirky setup emerges a game that’s as much about finding love as it is about self-discovery, emotional growth, and magical mishaps. Whether you’re a seasoned visual novel fan or someone exploring the genre for the first time, Subject: LOVE - HEA offers a refreshing twist you won’t want to miss.
