Bloodstained: RotN is a side-scrolling action-adventure game where players take on the role of an orphan cursed by an alchemist, embarking on an adventure to save himself and all of humanity. Players will encounter a variety of enemies and monsters in the castle, skillfully using various weapons and spells to showcase their combat techniques, defeating these enemies and earning rewards to upgrade their combat power and level. As the game progresses, players will unlock more gameplay features and character costumes, allowing them to create their own unique and cool character. Useful Tips:

Use Spells To Soften Up Enemies: Your first Conjure Shard, Cerulean Splash, launches a large orb of water, which bounces once before disappearing. Use it, and other spells, to soften up enemies before they reach you. This makes it easier to avoid taking damage, which means you can save your Potions for harder encounters like bosses.

Use Spells Early and Often: Your magic will refill slowly over time, so use your spells frequently. They are some of the most powerful tools in your arsenal.

Farm Shards To Give Yourself An Edge: If you find a Shard you like, farm the enemy that drops it. Every additional Shard you obtain increases the damage, range, or other aspect of the spell, and it retains the same cost, so it's a great way to gain more power.

Destroy Everything: Castlevania fans may already know, but be sure to smash lanterns and other objects to obtain money or Mana Roses, which slightly recharge the player’s MP.

Experiment To Find Hidden Techniques: From the beginning of the game, pick the Kung-Fu Boots as your weapon, and you will immediately be able to use the hidden Flashing Air Kick technique. Do a quarter-circle forward on the directional input (dpad or movement analog stick) then hit Attack to learn the Technique and add it to your Archives. The move costs 15 MP, it can be used with all Shoes, and it adds extra damage and range to your attacks.

Backstep Is Your Best Friend: The backstep button causes Miriam to dodge attacks by quickly moving a short distance backwards. Use this often to avoid enemy attacks or to cancel the recovery animations on certain moves (see below).

Backstep Grants An Extra Attack: Using Backstep cancels the recovery animation on your attacks, allowing you to use another attack immediately. Use this to deal more damage, more quickly, especially against pursuing enemies.

Rapid Fire: Using the Backstep Cancel allows you to fire three quick gunshots if you use the following technique; shoot, backdash, crouch, shoot again, backdash, shoot. Use these inputs in rapid succession to significantly increase your damage output with guns. (Thanks to Reddit user u/Bobbyheeby for the tip!)

Fire Everything: To make things even crazier, if you start with a jumping attack, then land, you can initiate the above attack for even more damage. (Thanks to Reddit user u/VritraReiRei for the tip!)

Critical Health: When you are approaching death, Miriam will begin to flash red and your controller (if you are using one) will begin to rumble. Head back to a Save Point or consider using a potion or prepared dish to avoid losing progress.

Fantastic metroidvania that’s a joy to explore. The environments are engaging, the enemies are creatively designed, and the boss fights are thrilling n challenging. I really enjoyed the story, and the voice acting is top-notch, with even David Hayter delivering a great performance.Unlocking new weapons and shards adds a great sense of progression, making traversal and exploration even more satisfying. I didn’t dive too deeply into the side content, collecting shards, recipes, or filling out the encyclopaedia—as it was to much filler for me. In hindsight, that probably left me underpowered for much of the game, because the main bosses absolutely destroyed me. I had to replay several of them an absurd number of times.And the final boss? Don’t get me started. I spent hours learning attack patterns and slowly chipping away at an enormous health bar but i was buzzing when I finally beat it.Despite the difficulty spikes, I genuinely loved my time with it. The characters and story really stood out, and overall a difficult but rewarding experience.

It's a great Metroidvania! Very close to the modern 2D Castlevania titles, in a good way!It's very complex in terms of systems (crafting, planting, cooking, upgrading, different damage types, it has everything!) so it's not for those who want a more simple adventure, but if you like to delve really deep into a game's mechanics (and have the time), this game is for you!

A great Metroidvania, with some fantastic new additions to the formula, held back by too much fluff, inconsistent enemy designs and art direction, and a convoluted final act that begins to lose itself. It's still very much worth playing for any side scrolling action fan.I wish Bloodstained could've been the game to make me say "Castlevania's back!" It's got what you love about the metroidvania entries of the series: fast-paced, dodge-while-striking action with RPG itemization and a variety of skills (shard in this game) at your disposal. However, there is too much of a good thing, as the shards and equipment pretty quickly get into the realm of silly and useless for the sake of just having more. Buzzword game mechanics like crafting are also thrown in here haphazardly. The final act is incredibly convoluted to get through and you are rewarded for your struggles with some of the worst zones in the game.

Summary:

Bloodstained – the action game experienced by many gamers with addictive gameplay and many good fights. You will be able to show your full strength and pass a series of training courses to get to the official battles. You have to defeat more than 120 minions in many wars given in this game. Not only do small monsters appear singly in each battle, but there are also violent bosses with great power.
