The Wolf Among Us is an adventure game based on the comic book Fables. Players take on the role of Bigby Wolf, becoming embroiled in a series of cases and political conspiracies. Players must investigate crime scenes, uncover hidden clues, and make different choices during conversations with suspects to obtain testimonies or uncover contradictions in those testimonies, ultimately revealing the truth and the mastermind behind the cases. The game consists of five chapters, each featuring new characters and story events, along with different endings, ensuring replayability and a constant sense of novelty.

The Wolf Among Us is a graphic adventure game, played from a third-person perspective. The player controls protagonist Bigby Wolf, who must investigate a series of mysterious murders. Throughout the game, the player explores various three-dimensional environments, such as apartment buildings and a bar. When exploring an environment, the player may find an object they can interact with; when this occurs, they must move the cursor over the object to select and examine it. Items of interest are stored in an inventory, and can be used later in the story. The player may also talk with non-player characters, and see the conversations presented in the form of dialogue trees. The dialogue options chosen during conversations will either have a positive or negative effect on how other characters view Bigby, and their perceptions will influence future events in the story. Some scenes are more action-oriented, forcing the player to respond to a series of quick time event (QTE) prompts. The player is not required to complete every QTE prompt, and skipping certain prompts may affect future events in the story.

Moreover, there is a private community where many fairytale characters are present, and the real murderer hides among them.The game is a story mode, and there are five episodes in which you have to solve unique cases and bring justice.

Amazing Graphics and Characters: The Wolf Among Us has eye-catching and attractive graphics, giving you an anime-like feeling as you join the underworld. It contains eroded buildings, haunted creatures, and scary old furniture.Moreover, if you have read the book, you already know its characters. However, its characters include creatures, victims, culprits, and more.

Weapons: As you move on with your investigation to catch the murderer, you will meet many criminals who carry deadly weapons with them. They are armed with loaded guns and can fire within a second.However, you are blessed with unique strengths to defeat them.

Make Choices: The game’s storylines and plot are based on Eisner’s famous Fables comic book series, where you have the role of a main character who can make various choices to change the story entirely. Your character must enter different situations where all that matters are your decisions.

Walkthrough of The Wolf Among Us:

You, the player, will be acting as Sheriff Bigby answering a distress call because of the noise complaint in a residential building. After having a conversation with Mr. Toad, you go upstairs to find the Woodsman beating on Faith; you break them up, only to find Woodsman looking for blood. After you deal with the whole ordeal you have a conversation with Faith. Now Faith is short on cash for here comes your first choice.

Choice 1: Did you give Faith your money?

The player will have a choice to make that will change the story, here you choose to give the money to Faith.

Now after this you arrive at the Woodlands, and just as you are about to go in, you sense someone hiding behind a tree. As you call them out, you find Beauty standing. It is a little suspicious that she is out and about in the middle of the night but she wants you to keep this encounter a secret from everyone else, especially Beast. She says that she will explain everything to you later. As you go into the Woodlands, you find Beast looking for Belle. Here you have to make another choice.

Choice 2: Did you tell Beast the truth about Beauty?

Now, this is a difficult one because you want to stay loyal to both of them and you can’t do that without hurting the other. So, the best choice would be to stay out of it.

Choice 3: Where did you decide to go first?

Now most players seem to choose Toad’s apartment first, understandably so, he seemed like a mess on the phone and you wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to him. But choose Lawrence’s Apartment. See, the cost of choosing Toad is too great because then Lawrence would end up dead.

Choice 4: What happened to Prince Lawrence?

Now to save Lawrence after you go to his place, be sure to tell Lawrence that Faith is missing or tell him the half-truth, but not dead. In the case of half-truth, Lawrence will point his gun at Dee but in case you told him that she was dead, jump out of the closet when you see Dee. Because if you wait for too long to jump out at Dee, Lawrence will shoot himself.

Now after giving Dee the chase and him getting away, you head to Toad’s apartment. Now arriving on the scene, you see traces of a fight taking place and Toad acting like he is DEFINITELY hiding something. No matter how you slice it, you will come to know the truth when Mr. Toad hugs TJ and you can see him bleeding due to a concussion. He will then admit his fib and tell Bigby that Dee wrecked his place and threaten him and TJ. You will get Faith’s coat from him with a letter to Lawrence, choose not to read. And he tells you that you can find the Woodsman at the Trip Trap. 

Choice 5: Who did you arrest?

Now after fighting Gren, Dee walks in offering $100 to anyone who has any intel on Faith only to find an injured Gren and Bigby in the middle of the mess. He decides to make a run for it and now the player has to choose who to catch. The Woodsman or Dee. Choose Dee. Regardless of the choice, you make you will find a severed head of Snow White at the door of the Woodlands.

I have been looking for a game where my choices don't just impact conversation, but the story as well. this game indeed does adapt to the choices you make. it doesn't just determine how the game ends like most choice based games I've played. your choices along the way determine how others react to you throughout the entire game. They also fork out into multiple major different experiences, meaning you can play the game all over and meet new people. I highly recommend!!

I've only played the first episode because I can't afford to purchase the others but I ADORE this game. Y'all... the art is beautiful, the atmosphere is like comic book noir... It's dark and gritty and incorporates your favorite fairytales. I'm already invested in the story and characters. Great great great excellent job with this game. Everyone please play it.

The game is an amazing. It puts you in the life of the "Big Bad Wolf". The game lets u take the approach of a violent person or someone trying to change. There is a lot times were u have to make really hard decisions. Not like any other rpg I played it seen on mobile. There is also a lot of fighting which gets the blood pumping. It includes a lot of fables that a lot of us grew up with. The storyline to the game is amazing. One problem is that the gane some tine lags alot.

This game is freaking phenomenal! I love the concept of all the fairy tale stories in one dark and twisted story. Voice acting, game play, visuals and choice making are amazing. The only thing is, if you want to play other chapters, you have to pay for it. But, in my case it was worth it. This game will keep you engage and on edge you got nothing to loose!!
