Trails of Cold Steel is a popular role-playing game that continues the world of its predecessors. Trails of Cold Steel: Northern War is an action role-playing video game with a Japanese animation style. The game has a quite interesting playing style with tactical automatic matches. You will recruit teammates and join them on dangerous missions to find information about enemy plots. Each level is a match between your team and monsters and possibly spies from the Empire. Please arrange and calculate your manpower accordingly to defeat them all.

During the battle, the arena is divided into squares and you need to place the characters in your team in these squares to deploy them in battle. Each cell can only contain one character. These characters have unique characteristics in terms of attack range, so melee characters should be prioritized above. After arranging the squad, you just need to select “Battle”, both sides will automatically rush into battle. This gameplay is quite similar to current Auto Chess games. You can also perform your character’s ultimate skills when they have enough energy or turn on “Auto” mode to automate everything.

The game's honestly got a lot of potential. Character designs are great with the visual novel part of the game being pretty ok! Just hope that the game won't be one where you'll have to suffer weeks upon weeks of grinding to progress a little while paying lets ypu fly through the game. If the fan base enjoy the game then there won't be any need to turn it into a cash grab.

Game was kinda horrible at launch but after 1 month things smooth out quite nicely. Needs more free stuff and things to do daily tho, as your progress is often walled by septium so you have to wait. Price is also expensive, need more frequent sales on costume. At full price a lot of stuff in shop are not worth.

I love Trails of Cold Steel, so I was happy when I saw this here. I didn't even know this was coming out, otherwise I would've pre-registered. Unfortunately, however, I don't think I'll be able to play this game. Even on the lowest graphic setting, the game is very slow and choppy. Often times dropping frames when I try to do anything really. It also kicks me out every 3-10 minutes. I'm not lowering my review because of that, I think it's my phone or internet. I hope I can play this game one day.

Love love love this game, i got a feel for the game when i was playing the Japanese version and when i found out that it coming globally, i was even more excited Sure at launch the game had it small issues but the dev team were quick to release patches for the bugs, but the game hasnt disappointed me, i was very surprised that they released a pc version for it as well fully synced with the progress from your mobile device, if you're a Trails fan or even new to series, i recommend playing it.
