Strategies of Palia:

Stand somewhere you can just click and cast! Sometimes you'll have to scooch as far forward as you can on terrain. It makes your casting much faster!

Fish near other people (most people know this, but maybe some don't!) you get a buff that lets you hook fish quicker.

If you see ripples in the water, fish there! You get an HQ fish. This is the ONLY way to get HQ fish I know of.

Eat food for the buffs! It really does help if you're planning a fishing session. =)

Getting "perfect" catches increases the amount of Fishing EXP you get.

You can refill your bar when fishing by not reeling and keeping the fish in bounds. (It refills while reeling, but if you're struggling with health you should not reel while trying to refill.)

Cook with other people, if you can! Everybody gets the food and you save resources.

If you ARE cooking with other people, try to have 2-3 prep stations, 2 stoves, and 2 mixing stations.

You can see what other players are preparing! It's an easy way to not double up on ingredients.

Quality of crafted ingredients IS affected by how accurate you are doing the mini game.

Quality seems to be random, but more HQ ingredients gives you a higher chance of getting HQ. (Think of it like a stat roll and each HQ increases your modifier.)

If people do not have ingredient, you can place them on the stations by interacting. You can hit F to disengage and then start something else while somebody else works on the first thing you prepared!

I got nothin in particular, maybe other people do. Tbh I hated gardening completely until I got the palium watering can. If I had better planned my layout (there are a lot out there if you care to find them) it may have been less annoying, though.

Player Comments of Palia:

For a free game, you couldn't ask for more. I've played for over a year now, almost 300 hours, and am nowhere near out of quests. Very cozy game. In the beginning everyone was friendly, but I see a lot of bickering in the chats now. I just ignore them because I prefer to play solo anyway. Even with the bickering, there are still lots of people who are more than willing to help you. My one wish is that there was more of a basic line of clothing/color options to choose from. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of free options. I'd still love to have more. Premium clothing and all premium purchases are EXPENSIVE!

love the open world cosy feel, and relaxed game play, however a big dislike is the cost of cosmetic items in the store, i have played fortnite since it came out and have never had an issue in spending around $15 for a cosmetic skin, but in palia almost $45 to buy enough credits to purchase 1 single item is overkill, if they halved this, alot of ppl who cannot afford these items would most likely start to purchase more often.

so this game is not perfect, esp with all the crap that happened with the dev teams and stuff, which does show in the game. but!! all the things i've loved about mmo's are here with none of the bs. no time gating, no pressure, just do what you want, when you want. the housing plots offer a ton of creativity, some of the things people build are insane. the skills are fun an engaging, the lore is decent, the social aspects are nice. i never talk in chat in games, but i've been very active in this game's chat, asking for help with stuff, partying up for events, it's just so nice. is it grindy? of course, but the grinding is fun somehow, doesn't feel like grinding. at least not yet. cash shop is there, it is f2p afterall, but it's not super aggressive, and it's all cosmetic. some of it is pricey but i've seen worse.

I tried to play this game on the switch ages ago but it wouldn't accept my username. I finally got in recently ish and i do like a lot of aspects of this game i wish it had a bit more plot it feels like a very chill and laid back version of Runescape and Skyrim i found it interesting how the npc's would mingle around other players i think this game has a lot of potential and could do with a bit of an upgrade aesthetics wise. I did like some of the characters they felt like they had really broad and defined personalities but sometimes a bit of an archetype. I did enjoy this and i hope Palia gets some more deeper updates in the future but after all it's a free to play game for the most part and i have played a lot worse. I'm very interested to keep up with it's future. I hope the characters get an upgrade appearance wise the style does feel like a rip off Disney Dreamlight Valley.

FAQs of Palia:

Is there a level or mission I have to do before this is available to me?

There is no level requirement or pre-requisite mission that you need to accomplish. You can immediately start gathering seeds as soon as you're in the game.

Where can I get the seeds?

Seeds for flowers are dropped by chance when you catch bugs/insects.Insects from Kilima drop different types of flowers compared to those found in Bahari. So if you want to collect all types of flowers, you'd need to catch insects from both areas.Seeds for trees are dropped by chance when you chop down trees.Seeds collected from trees basically grow into the same type of tree that you chopped down

Where can I get Flow infused trees?

If you complete the Temple of Roots questline and Earth bundles that were release in Patch 178, you will be awarded a Galdur statue as a reward for your achievements. This statue has a 25% chance of producing a "Flow" infused see every real time day. You can then grow and use that seed to create more.

Where can I plant my seeds?

Both flowers and trees can be planted on areas of land that you have unlocked on your home plot. Use writs from city hall to unlock more land.

Is there a limit to how many I can plant?

Flowers have a maximum capacity of 500 seeds per housing plot. Please note as well that flowers also count towards the 3000 asset limit on each plot. That means if you have 500 planted flowers, you only have 2500 remaining slots left for other furniture and decor items.Trees on the other can exceed more than 500 but they still count towards the 3000 asset limit.  So you can plant as many trees as you want as long as they don't exceed the limit of assets on your plot.

What can I  do with my fully-grown plants?

Fully grown flowers and trees will eventually produce (1) seed which you can collect.Take note that both fully-grown flowers and trees will only produce (1) seed per plant in their lifetime.

Conclusion:

Become completely immersed in this peaceful, idyllic fantasy world filled with fascinating characters and beautiful locales and vistas to explore. Build a brand-new life here, construct a home all your own, and make new friends as you experience Palia’s ever-evolving narrative. Discover yourself in this cozy and colorful life simulator.
