War.app is a war strategy game with no element of luck or pay-to-win; every battle's outcome depends on the player's strategy. The game boasts numerous customization options. When creating a game, you can freely choose from hundreds of settings, ranging from small campaigns to world domination. You can choose to battle against the computer or real players, skillfully utilizing different card effects to defeat others. The game records your gameplay and saves it to your device for easy review and error identification. It also features rich gameplay modes such as tournaments, ranked matches, and quick matchmaking, allowing you to showcase your strategic skills, defeat other players, continuously climb the rankings, and become a legend.

Strengths of War.app:

Quickmatch: QM makes it easy to jump into multi-player by matching you with players of equal skill on templates you like playing.

Open Games: If Quickmatch isn't to your liking, you can always browse through a list of games made by other players, or make your own!

Community levels: Play single-player levels from the community, or make your own level and watch replays of other players defeating it.

Cards: War.app has a variety of cards with varying effects, like the Diplomacy Card, Spy Card, Airlift Card, Blockade Card, and more!

Faster games: All players can take their turn at the same time. Your friends don't need to be all be online at the same time to play with them. Take your turns when it's convenient and War.app will wait for you.

Strategies of War.app:

Prefer starting spots in smaller bonuses over those in large ones. Often a 3er completed in turn 1 is worth more than a 5er in turn 3. Aim for those bonuses first that can be completed in the least amount of turns.

Don't just look for the starting bonus itself, also take further expansion possibilities into consideration. What will your income be in turn 3, 4 or 5?

Sometimes even larger bonuses can be completed in a single turn when there are 2 or 3 adjacent starting locations. However, you cannot be sure you get all 2 or 3 of these spots, so in those cases you always need a plan B.

Avoid bonuses with wastelands, at least in the beginning.

Bonuses only pay off if they generate more income than you lost armies taking them. Example: A bonus worth 4 with 10 neutrals in it will cost you (neutrals x defensive kill rate) armies, say 10 x 0.7 = ~7 armies on average. It will pay off in the 2nd turn already. Taking a bonus worth 4 with 20 neutrals you may lose ~14 armies, so it will only pay off if you can hold it for at least 4 turns.

Always place enough picks to avoid ending up with random spots. In a 1v1 with 3 starting spots you need 6 picks. In a 2v2 with 2 starting spots you need at least 6 picks as well, better 8 in case your teammate forgets about coordinating his picks with yours.

In larger team games, always communicate with your team. On large maps pick a general starting area. The closer you start together, the less borders there are to defend. Mind your expansion capabilities though.

You can check your teammates' orders and see where they intend to start: Click their name in the list, then click "View Teammate's orders".

Once deployment has taken place if you didnt get any of your first 3 choices you therefore know that your opponent has these territories.

The versatility in the setting is amazing. There is always something nre too explore, and don't even get me started on the mods. They add dynamics to the game that just go beyond, plus ultra.

Pretty fun little strategy game, my friends and I love to have big free for alls on massive maps. 5/5 would absolutely recommend, even if you don't like strategy games, as long as you have friends, I'd recommend giving it a shot. One very minor gripe I have is that the sound effects aren't *too* great, but they're not terrible and you can turn them off if you don't like them. There's also an idle mode for people who like idle games. Support this indie dev, thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Gameplay and enchanced graphics are nice, but the controls and response times are not good. It takes 10 seconds to load a game on this version of the game (before it was practically instant.) I also misclick on games due to the fact that it sometimes randomly goes back to main screen when I'm doing other things. Still a good game though.

This is a fantastic turn based strategy game. Autosave compensates for the long play time, allowing you to pick up where you left off if something calls you away from a long game. There is a vast variety of options to tweak the games to something more enjoyable for you. There have certainly been moments that I'm aggravated, but that's because of difficult settings and scenarios which are a part of the experience of a strategy game.

Amazing game! Aside from some very minimal ads, even the free version is fantastic. After years of enjoying the game without issues I ran into a very minor issue which was causing me difficulties, so I emailed the developer. In ten minutes they responded and fixed the issue. I can't recommend this game, or developer enough! Thanks Fizzer for being awesome!
