League is locked until you win against Z in Arcade.

Only play Head Cup if you are good in the game, otherwise, you will just waste your points.

The Game Controls are very easy, we don't think we have to explain it. The only thing that you have to know is that you can dash (quick movement forwards/backwards) if you double click the left/right button, which allows you to move faster than usual. For Power Shots that involve flame and fire, for example, India, when their power hits you, you combust into flame and get three question marks above your head, and your controls are reversed.

Also, you can counter a power shot (return it) if you press Kick just before the Power shot reaches your Character. This is an advanced method, and can be quite hard to master.

Pets that can fly can block some of your power shots or even cause own goals (you or the opponent), some can make it difficult to land a goal, like the Mushroom, and some can block own goals for some characters, like the turtle, so be careful when the opponents have a pet to assist them (especially in Fight Mode, the butterfly can heal the bar of the opponent and that can be really annoying, get rid of it as soon as possible).

Bodies are a good alternative if you don´t have good costumes, you will get them with Head Balls, the stat boosts aren't the best but at least it´s something, make sure to get the latest bodies, like the business body which boosts +1 all your stats. However, opponents can use them too (mostly the 4 characters of the 6.0 Update), and in combination with a good costume, they are really dangerous.

Im addicted to this game. It's very challenging at first so I wouldn't recommend for people who want to be good at something from the beginning. When you start out as Korea use your coins to upgrade and nothing else until you can start winning some tournaments. The main points to upgrade if you want to win, are kick, speed, and powershot. Then work on unlocking new characters. Try and get England first since their power shot can hardly ever be blocked if you use the power shot in between midfield and the box. As soon as you start to make good money and can win, do some head cups. When you see the 5,000 coin fee to enter you might be discouraged but continue. It works exactly like the world cup as well with a qualifying group and round of 16. If you win, you receive 30,000 coins. After obtaining 50,000, go to arcade and beat the 33 characters to unlock leagues. One character In the middle (asura) costs 50,000 coins to play. Once again do not be discouraged. Spend that 50,000 on playing that character and then after the 33 characters are complete, play in the leagues. After winning amatuer, you unlock minor, and then major. You win 20,000, 30,000 and 40,000 coins in that order for each. Continue winning leagues and head cups and remember ALWAYS use that money towards upgrades until you are comfortably winning 80-90% of your games as a whole. After that, your set to do whatever you want. Personally, I work on getting new characters any chance I can and don't focus on costumes as much. I still have plenty though. To unlock costumes you play survival and every 10 stages you play a rank match to unlock a costume. Sometimes you do unlock them sometimes you don't. I have played head soccer for literally days recorder in my stats and haven't spend any real money except on the devil which is a character you have to pay for if you wish to unlock. It's my favorite game ever and ive spread it all around my school. One question though HOW IS GREECE EVEN POSSIBLE TO UNLOCK !?!?!?!?!

Some people will argue that Fifa is the best soccer game, but I disagree. In this great game, you play in matches, tournaments and survival competitions to become the best player out there. All the while, you are earning points to spend on player upgrades such as kick, speed, jump, ect. There are tons of players to unlock, but it is slow going to get them. There are also some fun little costumes to unlock, if you'd like to accessorize your player. It is a 2D style game with fairly good graphics, and the field is short. The ball can bounce everywhere, and there is no out of bounds. The main flaw is that the game play may get repetitive, but that hardly takes away points in my book. Overall, I suggest you get this game, whether you like soccer or not. After all, it's free!!!

My son was seven when he got this and has a couple of the Head Sports series. They are really easy to play and he really likes them. They are simple in application and do not take a lot of player skill so it is a great starter type game as well as a great application to burn time in between things. What is cool about it is that you really don't have to worry about plays and so forth. I have played it a couple times with him and you can gain different skills and upgrades the more you play. It is a pretty cool app.
