The Classrooms is a survival horror game in which you play as Robert Chen, who infiltrates an abandoned public school to uncover the truth behind a series of student disappearances. Shortly after entering, you find yourself trapped within a labyrinth that is procedurally generated by the game’s system. As you explore, you will encounter all manner of strange phenomena; you must remain constantly vigilant while carefully studying the nature of these anomalies—though a single moment of carelessness could easily cost you your life. Throughout the game, you will collect various items, documents, and pieces of equipment. Use these resources wisely to survive and emerge victorious. The game will continue to receive updates and optimizations, including new, engaging levels, narrative elements, and refined gameplay mechanics—so stay tuned!

Characters of The Classrooms:

Robert Chen: The main character , born in 1979 , is 18 years old, has a name, and looks like he is of Chinese descent based on his actual appearance in the ARC data screen. I went to school in a van to look for my younger sister who had gone missing from school. Afterwards, in order to supply electricity to the school, which had been cut off, they went to the power generation room in the basement, turned on the electric switch, and came back up to the entrance, but the topography of the school had changed, the exit was blocked with bricks, and to make matters worse, strange monsters called 'Entities' were inside the building. 'They are also moving around. Afterwards, he tries to escape this unknown place by looking at information about monsters recorded by an organization called ARC and records of people who once came here like him and were trapped.

Grace Chen: Robert's younger sister, born in 1985 , is 12 years old, and is briefly seen in real life in the ARC data screen at the beginning of the story. She went missing from the school where the story is set, and her older brother Robert entered the school to look for her.

Jacob: A person who left a collectible note in the game. According to the note, he was forcibly brought into the school by an organization with orders to obtain something and given only a compass and a flashlight . If you look closely at the contents of the note, the circumstances show that Jacob was brought to the school. The sending organization is most likely ARC. Reading the first note, it gives the impression that Jacob was imprisoned by the organization before entering the school, which suggests that Jacob may be an expendable person investigating unknown locations, including the school, and this is the SCP Foundation 's D This is because the only organization that is similar to class and related to such elements is ARC, which has the SCP Foundation as its motif. If you look at the note, you can see that he wrote various thoughts related to the place, but one of the strange things is that he said that he had not been hungry or slept since entering the school. Also, the group that sent him to the school wrote a code that he had to remember to survive in the place, and it was written on the note, but it is unknown whether Jacob himself erased it, but the code was erased with a pen by someone.

Rosemary: A person who appears to have been forcibly brought into the school by ARC, like Jacob. Looking at the name, it appears to be female . It appears that he was given a compass , just like Jacob , but the record ends when he says in the last note that he found out that the direction of the compass mentioned above points to a specific place, not north. This person also left a note, and there are not many records as there are only three notes, but in the second note, which appears to have been written in a church building, he pours out all kinds of negative reviews about the face monster and threatens to burn down the school if he leaves here .

Alexander Asbest: The CEO of electronics company 'Asbest' mentioned in the videotape , a businessman who took over the company from his father in 1961, and it is said that after he took office as CEO, the computer business was successful and the company grew into a large corporation. As you watch the video, a place that appears to be the ARC building briefly flashes in the scene, and according to the description, it seems that Alexander and ARC have some kind of connection.

Daniel Asbest: The founder of Asbest and Alexander's father, he founded the Asbest company in 1925 and served as its chairman before handing the company over to his son Alexander in 1961.

Features of The Classrooms:

VHS Horror Vibes: The whole game’s wrapped in a retro VHS effect, bringing you old-school chills and a sense that something’s just a little off in every corner.

Spine-Chilling Monsters: Watch out! There’s more than just empty seats here. Each classroom has its own set of monsters lurking about, so you’ll need to stay sharp and not get caught.

Tense Key-Hunting: You’ll need to calm your nerves and hunt for hidden keys if you want to unlock the exit. But of course, nothing’s straightforward with all those monsters hanging around.

Smooth and Simple Controls: Dodging screaming monsters and sprinting toward safety feels intuitive, thanks to easy controls that won’t leave you fumbling when it matters most.

Realistic Visuals: Think spooky classrooms that actually look like places you don’t want to be after dark. The graphics pull you right into the whole experience, making every jump scare hit just a bit harder.

The Classrooms

Basics of The Classrooms:

Inventory: The inventory contains three different sections. The first section is the Backpack section, which is where most of the items you pick up go. The second section is the Gear section, which contains keys, keycards, the Flashlight, and the Gym Bag The third section is the Records section, this section currently contains the Codex and the Tapes you have collected.

Physics: Most objects in The Classrooms, aside from shelves and other similar objects, can be moved around and thrown, this can be used to create a distraction or to break some glass.

Flashlight: Your best friend for maneuvering around in the dark, along with being one of the only sources of light the player has on them at all times. Also your flashlight makes a sound whenever you turn in on or off, which can alert entities.

Whistle: You can press T (Or whatever key its bound to) to whistle and lure most entities to your location. This can be used to move entities away from areas that you are required to go to, although it only works with entities that are blind.

Camera Zoom: You can hold right click to zoom in and release it to zoom out, which can be useful for making out things that are far from you.

Your Microphone: One of my favorite features of this game. With your microphone enabled, any noise you make can be heard by almost any entity. You can tell how much noise you're making from the microphone icon in the bottom left of your screen.

Quick Transport: Each level has a variant of the quick transport system. There are currently three different types- Slides, Vents, and Doors outlined in Blue Tape.

The Levels: Every level in the game is randomly generated.

Doors: In order to open doors you have to hold left click and move your mouse.

Other notes: Rewinding the Tape reloads the level.

Player Comments of The Classrooms:

By far the most challenging level is the latest backrooms level, you think you're all good and then old mate appears out of nowhere through a wall. Very nice touch in endless mode on the backrooms level that the portal to the next level uses the theme of whats next (portal is a water slide -> poolrooms is next, portal is a normal slide -> playrooms is next). Without the blue tape portals, escaping the entities would be a nightmare.Endless mode is good, but very difficult to find keys for special doors. Although once you unlock one, most of the rooms present as useless (a room full of shelves with no items on them, a room with a vending machine but you have no money and cant find money to buy anything, and so on). Also a shame that there is no water in the bathrooms or poolrooms in endless mode, I don't understand why.A good addition to CUSTOM mode would be to make the custom level modifiers separate to the entities - that way you can randomize what the level looks like everytime, but still keep the level difficulty progression in the endless mode or story mode. And a comical addition would be to be able to modify the movement speed of entities.Overall great game, as you can tell by the hours on record, my kid loves watching me play it.

I am having a lot of fun with this one, this is my favorite Backrooms related game so far. The entities are varied and each very scary on their own, environments are varied with an ACTUAL function to pick up and manipulate surrounding props, and the endless mode is the true cherry on top. You can play endless backrooms survival sim, or turn off entity spawns to play it like a liminal exploration game. Really scratches that liminal itch, will be dumping plenty more hours into the game to prepare for the 1.0 release and the addition of COOP.

i love easter and bushwack it was a random day in april of 2024 i was watching bushwack aplaying the class rooms with the destription of his mic was on so the monsters could hear him and his veiwers on twicth could play sounds and the demons could hear him and that waster i got the class rooms and love but i cant get past level 1.

Final Verdict:

The Classrooms APK is a scary game. It mixes feelings from the past with fear and secrets. The game looks like an old VHS video. Each time you play, the game is a bit different. You watch the game through video clips, lik someone recorded it. If you love horror games, you have to try this one. Download The Classrooms now. You’ll enter a dark, spooky school world. Can you survive the night? Or will the scary things in the school get you? Play to find out.
