Introduction

There Is No Game: WD is a beloved adventure-puzzle game in which players are unexpectedly transported into a variety of different games. To progress, players must carefully observe their surroundings, uncover clues, and solve puzzles, moving from one game to the next until they finally track down the mastermind behind it all. At the end, players are presented with various choices—including the option to exit the game—which lead to different endings, offering both food for thought and plenty of entertainment. The game supports multiple languages and features a save system, allowing players to easily pick up where they left off, even when playing in short, spare moments.

Features:

Unpredictable Point-and-Click Comedy: You’ll find yourself hopping through completely bizarre digital universes, often wondering, “Wait, what just happened?” The humor is sharp, the pacing is wild, and you never quite know what’s next.

Pixelated 3D Visuals: The graphics are a charming paradox—boldly flat and purposefully pixelated. If you grew up on old-school games or you just like a little nostalgia, this one’s got style.

Voiced Dialogues with Personality: Expect nearly every hilarious line to be voiced, sometimes with accents you probably weren’t anticipating. The narration adds loads of character (and just the right amount of snark).

Creative, Mind-Bending Puzzles: It’s all about thinking sideways—puzzles here rarely have a straightforward answer. Sometimes, you’ll need to do the weirdest thing you can think of just to get unstuck.

Built-In Hints (For the Stubborn Bits): Not gonna lie, some challenges get a little tricky. Good news: there’s a handy hint system for those “wait, is this even solvable?” moments.

Unexpected Surprises and Easter Eggs: The game’s packed with hidden jokes, meta-gags, and little surprises—including some bugs that are more like clever jokes than real glitches.

Accessible and Lighthearted Experience: No motion sickness, no need for an epic investment of time. This one lets you chill out, laugh, and puzzle your way through short sessions.

Challenges:

There's a bug in the soup: Complete Chapter 1.

Rock Paper Scissors Addiction: Become the world's worst "rock, paper, scissors" player.

If you continue to play without tearing off the scissors in the game of Rock Paper Scissors, you will reach the point at which the game no longer speaks lines.

Administrator : Break through the computer's security and gain infinite power... Look at the clock.

Achieved by unlocking the password on the watch for unknown reasons in the Flying Squirrel OS section.

Aren't you ashamed? (Have you no shame?): Find erotic pictures.

This can be achieved by opening the image in the deepest part of the personal folder in the section above.

Private Detective: Goes into the dumpster.

In the same section as above, open the trash can with the bottle opener and look inside.

Conspiracy Theorist: Read all messages and uncover the real truth!

Achieved by reading all the 'truth' files in the personal folder in the above section.

Complete Guide (A soundly led quest): Complete Chapter 2.

This is not a Beat 'EM UP: Hits an innocent person.

If you keep punching after getting H from Wilhelm, you can achieve it.

Spam: Interfere with Sherlock Holmes answering the phone.

From the time he first entered Wilhelm's house until he removed the moon and put it back, Holmes perched near the phone and prevented him from calling the witch doctor.[23] achieved through repetition.

Wrong Dimension: Call "so-and-so" on the phone.

Achieved by using the producer's phone number obtained in Chapter 6 on two phones. No calls are made, only achievements are achieved.

Blue moon: Makes a blue moon... or something similar.

Achieved by painting the moon blue instead of yellow. It can feel a bit regretful that not everything is blue?

Princess saver: Complete Chapter 3.

Player Comments:

Ever since I first saw the original game jam version of this game played, I have always held such a soft spot for this game. Its one of my favorite more niche titles, and I was delighted to finally be playing it myself. Game, especially, I really do love. They gave him so much personality and every time I play/watch this game I enjoy his mannerisms and dialog so much. The game also just manages to be really funny and entertaining, and got me to chuckle quite a bit.The puzzles themselves I also just find really creative and enjoyable (even if I'm an idiot and got extremely stuck a few times. 100% a skill issue on my part). The way it utilizes parts of well, games, I find extremely clever and I really like how out of the box and meta it gets with the games in the game. I really enjoyed the different types of games showcased, and the eventual breakdown to parts of how games work, and then eventually involving the creator himself.I can see people being split on it, but I can respect using the Kickstarter failing as an aspect to shape how the game was and became. Failing the Kickstarter must've been hard, and the struggle/mentions of it in game don't feel too overbearing. Honestly, that's something I like about the game as a whole. They're willing to play with whatever that surrounded the game or in the game itself and it makes for quite the enjoyable time.If I had one criticism, chapter 4 was definitely the weakest one. I 100% get the point/joke of the chapter, but it really did feel slow compared to the others, and the free to play joke did wear a bit thin at some points. It being a rehash of chapter 3 also didn't help things, and just made the whole section feel a bit tedious compared to everywhere else. Still, not bad, just the weakest point of the game for me.Super fun experience and I very much recommend. I wish more people still played/talked about the game as it really does hold a special place in my heart and is just very, very fun. Will forever enjoy your stubborn theatrics, Game .

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension is a comedy point & click adventure with a fourth wall breaking narrator.Simply put it's a game about trolling. It captures that feeling of being mischievous quite well. Interacting with the well acted narrator is the real game here. With a silly premise that there is no game, it takes you on a wild ride, breaking expectations and rules to do a really good job to entertain you. Having lots of great meta humor and self referencing means it's best to not get spoiled and enjoy it blindly.Point and click is the main game mode and it unfortunately does use moon logic to solve some puzzles (while making fun of itself for doing so). The narrator is happy to "slip up" hints and manual hints are available to help with those puzzles, but because I'm not that great at these puzzles, I was still sometimes stuck. With the adventure constantly changing things up, it keeps you on your toes and thinking outside of the box is a must. But it's not only about classic puzzle solving as it adds reaction or timing based puzzles and mini games to keep the gameplay dynamic.Overall it's really worth a play through. While I could praise what makes it good, it would only spoil it, instead I'll comment what I think it could have done better. I do think the game is at it's best when it's not being a game, making witty humor and not when it's following the rules of classical moon logic point and click puzzles. Another thing I'm slightly disappointed at, is that it missed an opportunity to end on a high note like the first F2P game instead of being serious.

Final Verdict:

While the graphics of There Is No Game: WD is pleasant and adaptable, the most astounding aspect is how they trick the player into perceiving a 3D world when it is all 2D in reality. The graphics are a crucial part of giving the player an enjoyable experience and are responsible for the game’s quality. It’s worth noting that each environment and gameplay mode will have its visual style, bringing the game to life and adding visual variety to the material.
