Deep in Brixen Space is a fun and casual adventure game where players control an adorable orc girl on a journey to fight against evil tentacle aliens. Players must skillfully maneuver the little girl over various obstacles and use her weapons to defeat enemies along the way. Of course, players must also be careful, as being grabbed by tentacles will trigger various exciting animated scenes, providing a thrilling experience. The game offers a tutorial and levels of varying difficulty, allowing players to showcase their gaming skills and help the girl successfully defeat the aliens.
By kiss I am meaning, keep it simple, stupid as that is the best way to describe the story that Deep in Brixen Space or DiBS if you prefer is telling! While this game has a very cool and stylish sci-fi setting, it never really gets into what is going on too much. All that we know is that we are a rather sexy furry looking character that has found themselves on a spaceship. That may not sound like the worst thing to be stuck on, but this spaceship just so happens to be overrun by these tentacle creatures that are extremely horny! Survival and getting through the ship is pretty much what the story is about.
The core gameplay of Deep in Brixen Space is a lot of fun and very simple to get to grips with. You pretty much just walk around, jump, explore, shoot, reload, and use your flashlight when it is dark. There is no complicated upgrade system, no huge skill tree, or anything like that you are required to worry about. They keep the gameplay as simple and straightforward as possible. That may make it sound limited, but it works in the game's favor as it feels far more like an action game that wants you to get to the lewd stuff nice and quickly. When you come across an enemy, they can grab you to violate you and you have to struggle to get out.
As far as the presentation and style of Deep in Brixen Space (DiBS) goes, I like what they have done here. Most of the game has a 16-bit style pixel look about it and that is something I really do like. The main character is cute and the monsters are kind of gross so there is a good balance here. You do get a lot of lewd furry pixel porn here that is fun. I like the animations and the facial expressions we see on the main character as it gives them a lot of personality.
However, the game also has these very well drawn XXX scenes that are pretty hot and more than just our main character getting ravaged by tentacle monsters which I appreciated. What is neat about these high end furry sex scenes is the way that you go about getting them. The lewd pixel art is all around, but to get these awesomely drawn sex scenes, you need to find secret tapes that are hidden around. This was such a clever way to add in a bit more high end and not so reliant on the whole tentacle thing porn content in the game.

Final Cinema Animation
The final cinema tape animation has been added. It's right next to the Big Computer.
Work in Progress Boss
Here's an early look at the boss. He can be accessed through the Big Computer for now.
The level to meet him will be developed at a later dev-cycle.
He's just a guy.
The reward for his miniquest would be his cinema tape, but that isn't implemented for now.
Mox Meetup Additional Interaction
Here's Woof seeing kbol getting cold, so he's offering his scarf.
Needed a way to visually telegraph that there's something to find for the meetup. In this case, a scarf for a cold koubold.
Roof Ammo
Some areas have ammo in the ceiling that drops ammo.
Quality of Life
Brief Tutorial for One-Handed Mode
There's finally a very brief tutorial for one-handed mode. The tutorial for standard keyboard is also still there. Just disable one-handed mode.
One-handed Controls Deadzones
Shrinks or expands the one-handed zone. Useful for larger monitors.
Modes and Misc
Infinite Ammo Mode- Unlimited pews.
Auto-combine Ammo Mode - Automatically combines ammo on every reload. (You can also already combine ammo by holding reload.)
Added directions for mouse pointers when in One-handed mode.
An icon pops up when stamina runs out.
Bugfixes
Fixed a couple bugs with Mox Meetup, like duplicating sprites.
Fixed Exploration and Bored Mode randomly starting on its own.
Fixed Mox gaining stamina when shooting while not in Bored Mode.
Fixed not able to be hug woof while he's being flashlight'd.
Fixed aiming cursor being stuck in grapple while using the controller.
Fixed woof getting stuck on the third floor by taking the elevator.
Fixed Controller Left Joystick automatically interacting with every interactable when the player walks past it.

Side scrolling games aren't easy to make but I've really liked this one. The enemies aren't that smart (I mean, that's accurate since they are all sex crazed plants) but the camera and shooting feel good. The scenes are very well made too, even if the game is in pixel art. I can't wait to see the full release.
Ordinarily I'd rather wait until a game is completed or abandoned to review it, but this is close enough and honestly I just love this little game. It hits a lot of key points for me personally, and I wish there were more like it.The gameplay is relatively simple, and straight-forward. The story is almost non-existent... and I mean that in a good way. This game basically gives you the fun bits and lets you fill the rest out in your head. I wish more games would do that, instead of getting bogged down with lore that interrupts the fun with entire novels of text on the screen. The creature/plant designs are interesting and diverse. The protagonist is cute, sexy, and frankly a bit of a lovable goofball. (Especially if you see the other sketches in the dev's discord- I realize that's not necessarily relevant to the game itself, but still) The style is relatively simple, but in a good way. The porn is split between in-game sprite sex, and larger animations collected via tapes found around the game that you can play in the "cinema".Sorry this isn't as organized as some of my other reviews, but in any case this is still a WIP game so I just wanted to get across my general appreciation for it for now. If you like platformers, furry protagonists, sprite porn, and plenty of non-humanoid creatures involved in the lewds, give this one a try!
I think the game is very nice to play. I really appreciate the cold opening that let's you bathe in the game's initial atmosphere so that you can build anticipation. A lot of games tend to be front weighted with very heavy exposition but you were able to avoid that while implying a story/scenario so big kudos to you!The gun play is very fun and dynamic, might want to add the tip that you can combine ammo to the tutorial.I think the biggest thing that I would like to see worked on is a reason to fear the monsters. Knowing stuff like deadspace and similar type games you start off with the initial fear of not knowing what's going to happen except you know things are bad. You meet the first enemy and struggle to get past em' leaving you filled with adrenaline. The general suspense continues until you encounter your first death where you just kind of flop over. Once I realized there was no consequence to death and no more implied threat I became unsure as to why the main character fears them (especially considering their behavior in the cinematics).I think a good solution to the threat issue is to create an aftermath once you've been caught three times:I imagine you could do this as an infection style (where you're building up some kind of disease/corruption that will eventually lead to the player being mind controlled/transformed/some punishment to the body)Or you could simply have the plant capture the player permanently and either imply no escape or show it.Basically just something to establish the aftermath as something "undesirable" for the main character is enough to establish the plant's ethos as a threat instead of a mild inconvenience.I hope your game goes very well for you! It looks great so far!
Really looking foward for this game. Those animations are on top quality even when this game use the simply artistic style, yet so atmospheric.I also love those enemies designs and the idea to how to deal with them as the gameplay mechanic itself like the use of the illumination from the flashlight to cause aggro or let them hide it from it, creating variation from those strategies. By the way, the protagonist is cute, as a bonus.
