I thought it was just an gift card selling app, in which case all I assumed it did was sellgift cards to app users. Big whoop, right? But, it allows me to store e-gift cards andtraditional gift cards on the app like a virtual gift card wallet. Also, you can regift any ofyour unwanted stored gift cards. But, instead of sending the recipient their gift card fromyou to their email address, you can send them by text message and/or both emailaddress. Also, it makes the spending of the gift cards while shopping super fast and easyby displaying a barcode for physical stores to scan during checkout. It also records eachtransaction made using each specific gift card, thus maintaining the most accurate andupdated gift card balance. It does one more really cool and useful thing by allowing youto add your gift cards to your Apple Wallet. That's quite a bit of great functions for thissingle app, which technically provides free services such as sending gift cards as gifts.You can also purchase Gyft card credits to purchase any type of gift cards you canpossibly purchase on this app, which makes gift card giving less personal, but muchmore functional and useful in comparison to trying to purchase materialized gifts, whichrun the risk of the recipient disliking their gift and either too nice to admit it, or bluntenough to hurt the gift giver's feelings. Anyways, I never rate or write a review for an app,so that says something about how great this app is. (Or my opinion of how great this appis.)

I really think this app has great potential. I love grabbing gift cards on here as well asmanaging all of mine and using it for our kids GC's as well on their phones. The creditcard processing used to take forever (when the app was new- and by forever I mean 24hours) but then for about 3 months it was almost instantaneous. It again has gone backto being anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours unfortunately. This makes the GC codesunavailable until your payment goes through. I would love to see this be faster. We usethis app for our kids iTunes GC's to make sure all their Apple ID's always have a balance.That way they're not linked to a cc and they're unable to buy apps, shows, etc. without 1.Permission and 2. A balance thanks to GYFT made a lot easier than buying through apple(my kids pay for their own balances- Apple isn't set up for multiple types of payment likethat). GYFT needs to fix their cc processing and update the look of their interface andthey've got 5 stars from me- great idea!
