Instagram Aero

Instagram Aero is a modified version of the Instagram app for Android, designed to give users greater control over the content they encounter—including images and text. It allows users to copy profile bios and comments, and enables the saving of profile pictures and other images directly to their device's gallery. Additionally, the app offers flexible video playback options, including the ability to toggle between automatic and manual playback, as well as fast-forwarding or rewinding videos. By introducing these modifications, Instagram Aero provides a more comprehensive set of features for the Instagram experience.

Features

Greater Control Over Instagram Content

Instagram Aero displays profile pictures and other images in high resolution, overcoming a long-standing limitation of the official app. Profile pictures can also be saved directly to your device's gallery. For frequent Instagram users, these are practical enhancements rather than mere aesthetic tweaks.

The app also allows users to copy profile bios and comments—a highly useful feature when you need to save or share such content elsewhere. Viewed Stories can be set to hide automatically, helping to declutter the Stories bar. Instagram Aero is particularly well-suited for users who spend a significant amount of time on the platform and frequently encounter limitations regarding content viewing, text copying, or video playback.

Essential Video Controls

A camera icon allows you to toggle between automatic and manual video playback modes. Instagram Aero also enables you to navigate through videos, letting you fast-forward or jump back to previous points in the footage. These controls make watching longer videos less tedious and provide the kind of basic navigation one would expect from any standard video player.

These additions do not fundamentally alter Instagram; instead, they resolve minor, recurring annoyances. This focused design philosophy is one of Instagram Aero’s key strengths: its extra features are directly relevant to how users browse and manage content, rather than burying useful tools under layers of irrelevant clutter.

Usage

A download button now appears alongside the "save post" icon, allowing you to download any photo or video you come across.

You can easily download files directly within the platform, without needing any third-party tools. Downloaded content is automatically organized based on the profile from which it was saved.

You can also download content by tapping the menu in the top-right corner of any Story. Similarly, you can download media or content shared within your chat conversations. With AeroInsta, you can hide "read" receipts; even if you view a message, the sender will not know that you have read it. Similarly, you can hide your activity status, live stream status, and even the "typing..." indicator during chats.

When uploading content via AeroInsta, you benefit from higher image quality compared to the default app. Furthermore, you can disable analytics and advertising data tracking.
