the biggest minus is there is no reaser in this app. if a certain book has 10 volumes and 9 are in audio book, there should be a reader AI ugly sounding reader to just be able to complete the series! i dont have the time to read, and i kisten while walking driving and so on. but I've done nothing with thw app for almost a month since i haven't finished, cant input the book in my AI reader, dont have time to read and just do nothing .. such a waste.

It's a really good app, easy to navigate and user friendly. I especially like that once you pay the monthly fee, all books are available to you. No need to add funds for a second book. The quality of the recordings are very professional and nicely done. The library consists of both Audiobooks and readable books, or both simultaneously for some books. The audioplayer itself is easy to use, has a sleep mode, speach faster/slower, saves bookmarks. Books available in english, norwegian and Swedish.

I love the app. I usually use it for audiobooks while doing house chores. One suggestion to the makers of the app: it'd be great if it was possible to sort the books in my bookshelf according to their genres, like novels, science, biography, diy, social science etc. It'd be easier to choose what to read next. Because usually I know what kind of book I want to listen next, but it's hard to find it in my endless bookshelf.

Using this almost for a year satisfied so far, the Storytel definitely does the job. I've been through a really nice titles. However not everything is possible to find, if you want something particular, but I understand it's hard to have all included. The player could have a bit better functionality as well, however all the basics are there (including sleep timer and suggestion to rewind the morning after). How do I change my registered information and privacy settings?

If you log in to the app and go to Profile, you can:

click on Edit profile to change information such as your first and last name

go to Settings -> Account to change your password

go to Settings -> Privacy to switch your account to a private profile. With a private profile, visitors of your profile page cannot see the reviews you've written (though the reviews will still be visible in the review list for the specific book)

go to Settings -> Privacy -> Manage marketing consents to change your marketing settings in relation to e.g. newsletters or change your settings for personalised marketing.

How long we store your personal data?

When you terminate your subscription with Storytel, your data will be stored and processed with us for a certain period of time after that.

Personal data which is collected and processed for marketing purposes is processed for as long as you have a subscription and twelve (12) months after your subscription has ended after being terminated.

For Storytel to be able to control, for example, use of gift cards, free trials and prevent misuse, personal data will be saved for twenty-four (24) months after the termination of the subscription. This also makes it easier for you to resume your listening and continue with your bookshelf if you choose to do so.

Keep in mind: Storytel may store data for longer if required by law or if required in order to preserve Storytel’s legal interests, for example if there are ongoing legal proceedings.
