The Calicut Town Service Co-operative Bank Ltd No.D 2665 was started with a vision to provide loans and other service to common people through Co-operative Sector. The Board of members are Sri.V.Nirmalan (Chairman), Adv.O.M.Bharadwaj (Vice Chairman), Sri.A.V Viswanathan, Sri. T.Radhakrishnan, Adv.M.K.Dinesan, Sri. P.V.Sarath, Smt.P.P.Kanakalatha, Sri.K.P.Saleem, Sri.T.V.Kunahyin Koya, Smt.M.Rathi and Smt.V.Latha Chandradas.The Bank received registration on 31st July 1997 and was inaugurated on 3rd of July 1998 by Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan , the Honorable Minister for Co-operation at that time. The Bank started functioning its operation in 2 villages ie, Calicut Kasaba and Calilcut City. The Head Office and the Main Branch of the Bank is operating on Town Bank Tower, A.G Road, Kozhikode.The Bank was able to bring its business into profit within 2 years and started giving dividend to its members from 2001-2002 onwards.The Bank was fully computerized on 2004 and opened its 2nd Branch at Gandhi Road on 30th of September 2006 and was inaugurated by Mr.G.Sudhakaran, Honorable Minister for Co-operation. On 23rd of August 2009 the bank opened its 3rd Branch at Chalappuram and was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister for Industries Mr. Elamarum Kareem. On 20th January 2011 , the IV th Branch was opened at Francis Road and was inaugurated by Mr.G.Sudhakaran, Honorable Minister for Co-operation.
